- Usage of keywords:
There was a time when stuffing your article with target keywords was the best SEO practice but this is not the case anymore. You would want your keywords to appear naturally in your article so that reader can enjoy it. Once it starts to sound jibberish, you are done! At the same time, it is important to have the keyword in the title of the article, first 300 words and in the first H1 or H2 (Headings).
It has been researched on extensively and proven that search-engines prefer comprehensive content of at least 1000-2000 words. Affiliate marketing articles should be even longer. It provides more value and reduces the bounce rate of your website.
- Write according to people:
SEO Writing is not about getting a keyword and starting composing lines on it. You are writing ‘for’ the people, hence it must be something they care about, like to research and would want to know.
- Usage of fellow keywords:
Although it is essential to use the target keyword 3-4 times in your article, you can use fellow keywords to make it better understandable for Google and non-repetitive for the readers. For example, best low budget watches can have fellow keywords like inexpensive watches or affordable watches. Then, there is the option of using LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) keywords which are conceptually related to your target keyword. For example keyword like ‘how to make tea’ will have LSI keywords like tea leaves, teapot and making tea.
