The Mi Max 3 by Xiaomi is following Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 lead when it comes to being a phone big in size. The Mi Max 3 could possibly be the biggest phone of this year, towering over the Galaxy Note 8 by half an inch. This is probably Xiaomi’s attempt at creating a phone that can be used as a phone and a mini tablet as well.
What’s stored in this huge size phone?
The phone has a 6.9-inch display, a bezel-less design and an 18:9 screen to body ratio. The screen resolution might not be extremely clear but is fairly decent when being used. This means that the pixels are not supremely sharp.
What actually takes up so much space in the size of the phone is the HUGE 5,500 mAh battery. Xiaomi has equipped the phone with Quick Charge 3.0 which can charge the battery from 0-71% in one hour. Most top-notch phones these days have a 3000- 3500 mAh battery, but the Mi Max 3 beats all of them in this regard.

The phone features a dual lens back camera, and a fingerprint sensor placed at the rear of the phone as well. The primary lens is 12 MP whereas the secondary lens is 5 MP mainly installed for capturing in-depth shots and to give better image quality in low light situations. The selfie camera is 8 MP. The phone can also shoot videos at a speed of 30 frames per second and a slow-motion video at 120 frames per second.
Mi Max 3 will be launched with Android 8.1 Oreo and MIUI 9.5, the latest version of Xiaomi’s own software. It will also feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, and come in two variants; 4GB and 6GB of RAM. As with all other Xiaomi phones, the Mi Max 3 will also support a micro SD card for expandable memory.
