Nokia Mobile Weibo account has announced the launch date of the Nokia X series smartphone in China. The phone is expected to be released on July 11 in an event planned by Nokia. The phone will be known as Nokia 5.1 globally and Nokia X5 in China, just like the Nokia X6 will be known as Nokia 6.1 Plus. China will be the first market to receive the phone.
A poster on the Weibo page indicates gaming which hints that the phone will probably come with a processor that is built to handle gaming. The phone will come in three variants with different RAM power; 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB. It will also have two ROM options; 32GB and 64GB of internal memory. The memory can be expanded by inserting an SD card into the built-in micro SD card slot. Equipped with an octa-core processor which will upgrade the speed of the phone. It will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. Nokia X5 will be packed with a 3000 mAh battery and will run on Android 8.1 the latest operating system in the market.
The display size of the screen is 5.86 inches, with a 720×1520 display resolution and a 19:9 ratio display. Nokia has built-in dual rear camera lens in the phone; a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The front camera of the phone is 8MP.
The phone has three colors; blue, black and white. Nokia X5 is similar in design and structure like the Nokia X6 since the X series follow the same design pattern.
This is a mid-range phone by Nokia, which will cost around PKR 15000 for the 32GB variant, and PKR 18500 for the 64GB variant. It is not yet decided when the phone will be launched in Pakistan.
