Amazing display, extremely clear speakers, dual apps and fast processor make Redmi 4A a top of the line smartphone in the Pakistani market

Xiaomi entered the Pakistani market this year through Smartlink and is already giving Samsung, Huawei and QMobile a run for their money. The official Mi website in Pakistan has recently launched its store and now you can easily order and get Mi products delivered to your doorstep.

The Redmi 4A is priced from Rs 13,900 and comes with 16GB internal memory and is expandable up to 128GB.

The smartphone has a 5 inch display and runs on Snapdragon 425 64-bit processor and possesses battery capacity of 3120 mAh. The phone runs on MIUI 8 that allows scrolling screenshots, can carry out currency conversions, and create dual apps log-ins.

It has 13 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front facing camera.  Amazing, it is 4G-enabled phone and has dual SIM card slot that supports two SIM cards to send and receive calls and messages from two different phone numbers.

The phone is only 131.5 grams and boasts smooth matte finish that feels great in your hands.

Redmi 4A ensures that there are no sharp edges on the phone, thanks to beveled edges. This also helps in giving a good grip to the phone. On the rear of the phone there are fine grooves at the top and bottom, but it’s just a design element and it is not meant for antenna bands. The Mi branding is prominent on the lower half of the rear side. Towards the base there is a speaker grille section, with a minor chin just below it.

The phone comes with an infrared blaster on the top edge, which also houses the 3.5 mm audio jack. The microUSB port is at the base for charging and data transfer.  The volume rocker and power/standby button on the right hand side give good feedback. The SIM card tray is located on the left hand edge. The phone measures around 8.5 mm thick.

Overall, the build quality at this price point isn’t bad at all. The one-hand fit element will certainly attract a lot of buyers.

This is an entry level phone, so as far as the regular tasks are concerned, it does not falter. The Snapdragon 425 SoC paired with 2 GB RAM fulfills all the needs of an entry level user.

In terms of competition at this price point, you have nothing that offers anything comparable. Sure, there are a lot of devices under the Rs 13k price point, but they pale in comparison with the Redmi 4A. So if this is your first smartphone purchase, the 4A is definitely recommended.
